So... Where was I?
So, I believe in the last blog I mentioned I was pregnant. I had my baby in October and since then, my life has been a busy beaver! Everything is going very well across the board.
My plans for this blog. I was never great and writing in the first place, but I believe I may start something new this coming year where I start reviewing my decks on here as well as on YT. However, the difference will be going down a ranked number system from something like either a 1-5 or 1-7 or 1-10, depending on how many areas I can find to review a deck with. The boxes, the books, the deck itself can all be reviewed. We will see! But anyways, thought I would give a quick heads up and of course follow me on YT where I post regularly multiple times a week!

Cursing or Binding Trump
By the way ladies and gents, I am back!
So this is a hot topic going on right now that a large group of witches are planning to bind (to restrain him from hurting others or himself) or curse (to actually hurt him) Trump. The reason because well, he is a tool, but because he is hurting so many communities and is already creating religious persecution towards Muslims so why would he stop there? We know witches have always had a red latter tagged on us for hundreds of years.
The idea is to all participate this and throw this energy at him all at the same time, the theory being the more energy at one time will make it more effective. Which makes sense to me. The question is, is it the right option?
Now, I am someone who tends to like doing the mundane options first because generally you can see tangible results from that rather then magical right off the bat. For example: groups of people trying to pass things to make impeachment possible, getting your local politicians involved to push for investigations for clear law breaking by the presidents, protesting, and so on. These are tangible mundane things people can choose to do first and can see quick results usually. If those don't work, I can see that the magical way of doing things can boost the mundane or support it, or if you have run out of ideas of the mundane option, this is the better option.
The thing I worry about most is that are we just feeding into the controversy by being so blatant about this? There is already a following of a large christian group planning on countering the witches by praying against them. This just brings me back to Salem witch trials and the idea that witches are frightening and threatening.
Putting groups of people against each other is never healthy and this is exactly what Trump wants, separation, not a coming together as one. We are one United States of America but we are completely stripped from having those connections that bring us together. Remember 9/11? We all came together even those against the war. This is like the complete opposite of that. It is incredibly sad.
Do I think this is the correct option? No. Would I stop anyone from participating? Definitely not, it is their choice. But be mindful of the bigger picture. Are we making a bad situation better, or are we exacerbating it and falling into the holes people like Trump have dug for us waiting for us to trip and fall into it?
Be mindful. That is your exercise this week.

Accept it, because it won't change
We all have things about ourselves and our lives that we have difficulty accepting. Some of us struggle with family relationships that the other person isn't going to change and the relationship is probably irretrievable broken, but you keep attempting to fix it. Or coming out as gay after being taught all your life that it is wrong. Or accepting maybe the job you wanted and finally got, that it isn't the right fit you thought it would be. There are varying degrees of trivial to serious things that one can and should accept.
Often times the things we struggle to accept in life make it that much harder to be of a mind to know what you want or don't want. Ignoring reality or choosing to not accept something for what it is tends to have ripple affects on someone's actions and choices. It makes decisions less assured or concrete because you may feel well if the something that won't be accepted or the struggle, why wouldn't it be the same for every other decision?
Accepting difficult situations or choices or lifestyles can cause a lot of discord in one's mind. For example, someone who is gay and has chosen to ignore the fact based on various reasons like raised in a home where it is taught it is wrong, this can make someone self hate. We have seen it time and time again that politicians and church officials that rail the hardest against homosexuality, they end up coming out as gay down the road and it was their way of trying to push their truth away.
Accepting isn't an easy thing to do for some aspects of one's life, but the process and the conclusion of coming to a place of being able to accept a situation makes the mind and the body much more cohesive and sated, and for many, much happier.
You task this week is to address something you have struggled to accept, and start the process in earnest to do so.

Setting Intentions... Really?
Time and time again, particularly this time of year, I hear people stating how they are setting intentions. They may be pagan or they may be mundane. New years resolutions or starting off with a clean slate or a ritual, we all do it in some way, shape, or form. There is one problem with this though. Many set their intentions and then assume that is all they need to do and months or a year down the road, they are shocked that nothing happened! Why is this? It is because setting intentions are not the end, it is the beginning.
Setting intentions for the new year or anything else, it is the beginning. The first step in a long process to reach your goal. The intention is your goal being set, the starting line. When you succeed in achieving that goal, that is the finish line. There is still a long race to get to that end point though. Here is some suggestions to help you achieve that goal.
After setting the goal, you need to make a plan, and it can vary in how detailed and complicated it will be but the more simple, the easier it will tend to be to stick to. For me, as an example, I have made a goal to lose 30lbs this year and to get healthier overall. I have created a spreadsheet to track my food intake, exercise, sleep, and notes where I would put when and what is hurting, when I am tired, and when I am in pain to see if anything correlates with anything. I have used websites but I wanted to set up something specific to my needs which don't have restriction like many websites do. Mine is very detailed but someone else may just need to just track their weight and food intake by keeping a journal rather a spreadsheet on a computer. I use a computer spreadsheet just for my vision needs and my handwriting is horrendous. Remember, you can always change what doesn't work for you and adapt it into what will if you find what you initially have set for you isn't working.
Another suggestion is find someone or something to keep you accountable. Setting a reminder on your digital devices like an alarm or have a person remind you or keep you accountable in your actions like a significant other or friend helps a lot for the times you forget or don't feel like doing it. Having a support system helps a lot. I have a friend, spouse, and notifications to keep me on point.
Use visual aides like pictures, encouraging words, or even playing music that gets you in the mood to achieve your goal. I am more into audio then visual stimuli so I use energetic music to get me pumped for when I want to exercise. Some may use words like "healthy" and use the image of this word to stick on a bathroom mirror or a kitchen fridge as a reminder and an affirmation to stay on point. Try to avoid things that will discourage you. For example, for me trying to lose weight, putting a wafe-like skinny chick as a picture to try and encourage me would just be discouraging. Putting someone like Ashley Graham, the plus sized model who is curvy, healthy, and looks great, is something I would love to strive for and reminds me that beauty isn't equating to skinny and a rail.
This leads me into another suggestion. Forget social norms or what they think is acceptable in THEIR opinion. As above, a wafe like feature is not realistic for many of us and is actually unhealthy for many as well, but someone like Ashley Graham is something many of us can achieve and still be confident about in looking like. She is now become the new normal in society which is great, but she is still struggling against an uphill battle for normative changes. Not everyone is trying to lose weight it is just a common resolution. Some have goals of cleaning/organizing a room in their home that has just been a strain for various reasons. Some people are perfectly comfortable with a unorganized room and if this is a goal you set because of others wanting you to, this is just not going to happen (unless it is a health hazard then I suggest doing it anyways). If something doesn't bother you and isn't hurting or risking anything or anyone, why change it?Which leads me into my final point.
You need to set intentions for you and your wants and needs and not for what others want you to do. Again, if someone is quilting you into doing something you personally have no issue with and it really isn't hurting anyone, then what is the point? It probably won't change your life and other then making the other person happy, is it doing anything for you? You need to set intentions that will make a difference in your life and that you WANT or NEED. Not what others want in order to "fix" you.
Your homework today is to set an intention (if you haven't already) and then make an action plan, step by step, on how you will achieve it and start imp lamenting it right away. No time like the present!
Happy new years everyone!

Winding Down
A lot of people know they have a trigger point that they start "winding up" with anger, anxiety, or even excitement. Everyone has a different level thy need to reach before that tips the scales from control to out of control emotionally.
I was thinking about this earlier. I am well known to wind up easily over things and it is kind of a joke with some of my close friends to see how quickly I can flip that switch. When I feel misunderstood and the other person or people aren't getting it is a big trigger for being wound up. I also get hyper focused on anxiety issues that is extremely difficult to come down from and is probably one of my biggest struggles.
The best way to put that in check as quickly as possible is to know what triggers it and to be self aware enough to realize and catch yourself when you are starting that slippery slope down the rabbit hole. For me with my anxiety wind up, if I catch myself thinking over the same things multiple times, I give myself a mental slap and actively do or think of something else to make that issue slowly decompress out of my system.
Your homework this week is to identify a trigger for a wind up and also to identify what works in letting that air out of the balloon of emotions that you are struggling with not winding up over. Have a great week!

"Ain't Got Time for That."
We all are busy people. We often have work, family, extra curricular activities, relationships, and spiritual things to keep us busy. Before we know it, time has past and we have missed out on opportunities because we "don't have time."
A major area that we tend to make excuses for is keeping in contact with friends in some way. When we start having those adult responsibilities, we find that friends go by the wayside because of what you feel there are higher priorities to take care of. I have done this myself. One thing I have learned in my years though is that if a relationship is very important to me, I need to make that extra effort to keep it going. Of course this is a two way street and both participants need to add to the relationship equally, but you can only be responsible for your own behaviors. It is easy to be like "Oh I am busy this weekend. Maybe next?" when a friend asks to spend time with you. Eventually this becomes a habit and someone finally stops bothering.
There is never a life too busy that you can give at least one hour or even a half hour out of your life once a month to stay in contact or see someone. I am not just talking about a FB message or a quick phone call, but go out to eat or a cup of coffee. You will feel better for doing so if that friendship is honestly important to you.
This also pertains to enjoying yourself and having down time. I see parents doing this a lot or people who work full time that they never seem to have time to chill and relax and do things they really want to. Hell, I don't work and I make excuses for not doing things I enjoy because I am "too busy'. It is something we have to actively choose to do. Putting it on the calendar to have a spa day, see a concert, going shopping for the fun of of it, or anything we want to do that is selfish and mentally healthy to relax to. For example, I have wanted to make soap again which I haven't in years. But I keep making excuses to not to it even though I know I have plenty of extra time to do it but I find things that are less enjoyable to do that I feel are more important but really, there is no time constraint.
We are all guilty of doing this but we all need to find a time and place in our schedule to make time for those people and things we enjoy most in life. It just takes a little planning and effort at times.
Your homework this week is to make plans with someone for coffee or something similar to hang out with a friend you have been putting off for a while. Also, do something you have been putting off that you have wanted to do for some time as well that is just for you. This time of year is hectic but even now you can find time. Good luck!

Externalizing the Internal
Most of us have a public persona, conscious or not, and a private one. We act, look, and sound a bit or a lot different when we leave the home. We are one way at work, another way at home, another way out with friends, and another way when we are around people we don't like. We like to come off certain ways in front of certain people. Perfectly normal behavior.
For me, I like the have my outside match my insides and how I feel most regularly. Some people like to put on a mask so people perceive them a certain way. I feel this can be very constricting on one's self expression and holding them back from full potential because not only are you holding back what you may see as a negative, but most likely many strengths you have as well.
This weekend I decided to make my outside more attuned to how I have been feeling lately which has been more energetic and fun. So I dyed my hair with blue and pinkish-red in the front. Some say that because I am a grown woman and a mother and a wife that I should have grown out of that. I say hogwash. "Do you boo." That is a motto I have been living by this year. I feel more myself looking like this then I do when I have natural hair or professionally styled hair. I feel right.
Now this isn't to say everyone needs to go out and do something as dramatic with their looks but more of a sense that say, when you choose your clothes and you shake your head at an outfit you initially want to wear but then talk yourself out of, is something that most experience and can understand. Wear that outfit! Be authentically you!
Want to look funky one day? Do it! Want to look like a librarian the next? Do it! I understand some workplaces have limitations but there are always ways of getting your energy attuned even there. With jewelry especially. Even if it is hidden under a shirt, you know it is there, and that energy is still real.
So your task for this week is to wear or do something to your looks that you have been wanting to do but you keep talking yourself out of. It doesn't have to be permanent since we are ever changing beings. Enjoy!

Changing the Future
So this will not be really about spirituality but something that has been on my mind for a while. So I am a parent of a special needs child and I am pretty aware of how schools are run these days, which is very different from when I was in school. I also have many educators in my family like my mother and sister. But so many people know the way they are running schools now are focused on rushing them through school with few things to bring to the real world. Common core.... not even going to address that mess.
So I was thinking of sharing what my ideal school curriculum would be for majority of students because they really do need beneficial things and not just rushing them to graduation and leaving them high and dry.
The things that should be kept in schools that already are in are English/reading, math, P.E. music, and art. Everyone needs to experience art of all kinds because it is scientifically proven to help their intellect be it music or painting. Everyone needs to know how to read and write and do basic math. A lot of algebra is useless unless you are in the science or architectural careers. I have almost never needed to use advanced math that was taught in high school and I think depending on what someone wants to do with careers shouldn't have to be enforced except what could be used in daily life. Physical education is a must, end of story.
Now for things that should be required in school in some form.
Updated home economics. Not like our grandparents or parents home-ec, but what applies now. Cooking is something everyone needs to learn how to do in some form. Doesn't need to be fancy but knowing how to make regular meals that aren't instant because we are of a time that if it isn't microwaved or boiled for 30 seconds, it isn't eaten anymore. Cooking isn't the only thing though. Cleaning like laundry, fixing basic thing around the house like changing a light bulb, and of course learning what each chemical in the house is used for. Even now I have no idea what some stuff is for. All of these should be taught even if the kids are lucky to have a parent or both parents home to teach them because in this day and age, parents aren't available for things like that now.
Managing money is a whole class on it's own. I had a class similar to home-ec that did focus for 2 months on finances like how to write checks (which at this point is basically obsolete), taking us on field trips to figure how to manage a sh oping list with a certain amounts of funds, first hand and that was something that always stuck with me. Also including how to understand what taxes are about since so many don't do their own, but they should learn what it means and how it affects you. Money is a thing everyone needs to know how to use properly and so many don't.
Computer science. Some schools have this thankfully but most just have basic typing classes which isn't enough. Knowing what computers can do and not just use it for internet is something useful to know especially for when you have a job. I was taught in community college how to use other Microsoft Office programs other then Word, and even then I learned different things about it I would have never known. This is so incredibly important because computers are no longer the future, they are what we use now everyday in every way.
Real sex ed and parenting classes. Most schools in the US have sub par and abstinence only education and it has been proven to do nothing. Comprehensive sex positive education where things are very bluntly discussed with real medical terms, and not just how babies are made but STD's, what is normal physical maturity, learning about consent. So much more. And there is a high rate of pregnancy in teens particularly in the south. I remember having a day in class that we had to care for an egg in middle school and in high school a mechanical crying baby. The egg was useless, but the crying baby, never gave me sleep and was way more accurate to real life and everyone should have that experience for a full week. It does give you a different perspective.
Comprehensive history and politics. This is covered in part at most schools but it does tend to use outdated books and focusing on the white males perspective. We should know our history across the world but of both genders and all ethnicity's. I had a college professor who was Bulgarian and gave the most amazing stories about his experiences and his topic of history. He made it interesting and applied it to real life. The political stuff knowing what every aspect of it is is incredibly important too which was never covered in school for me except hey, there are two groups, a house, senate, congress, etc. The end. Experiencing what just happened here with politics, our kids get to feel the screwball future because of so many not really understanding politics.
One thing most schools can't do and an experience I was lucky to experience was having small classes so teachers can give individual attention to those who need it. I went to a Blind School in WA and at most we would have 9 kids in a class and many times 4-5 kids. I was able to finally get the individual help I needed with topics I struggled with. Things are personalized to the youth which it should be. Everyone does not learn the same.
Comprehensive science. So much we learn in science class is completely useless and never used again unless you chose a Field in it. Forcing kids to cut frogs open is out dated especially with technology being what it is now. It is unnecessary. Yes we should learn what makes up our bodies, what makes up the world with things like geology and oceanography, botany, so on so forth. Science is important but the way it is taught now isn't comprehensive and taught in a way it doesn't stay in the brain.
A spin off history, learning about different cultures, by really experiencing them. A lot of hands on projects, visiting places that have those cultures if possible, and not just those that are in your region. Where I live, Native American heritage is abundant and strong but even here where it is in everything, it is barely touched on. Also, we have a history of Hispanics and Japanese heritages that are incredibly unique to the region that is never touched on. I learned last year that there was basically during world war II that there was a concentration camp (I am unsure if that is the right word where they held them against their will), in the town I grew up in. Which is crazy. Hands on experiences make things sink in much deeper and longer then just reading a book about it.
Field trips every month for some class should be required too if not more. As explained above, experience sinks into memory much better then reading words.
I can go on but I want to hear what you have to add or say on this topic! We can change things, so see what you can do in your area!
You activity for this week, whether you are a parent or not, make a list of 8 different classes you think should be in schools now.

Voting for Spirituality
This is not a blog telling you who to vote for. That is up to you to decide. This blog is about being mindful on who you vote for can impact your spirituality and practice.
There are/have in the past been candidates who have shunned religions or specific religious groups, such as Muslims and their practice. The idea that anyone who is in a leadership role that could be prejudice against one spiritual group, it isn't a far reach to think they could impact other groups such as pagans since they are not part of the mainstream religions.
Those who are pagan, Hindi, Buddhist, or of a non-specific denomination of a non-abrahamic religion could and have been affected by prejudice and fear in the past. We only have to go back a few hundred years in America to see how witches or perceived witches were treated because of bigotry and fear. Being mindful of who you are voting for and their beliefs and how that could affect you is something people don't always put a big focus on. I mean, we live in America (most of us), and the constitution says freedom of religion. We have seen this repeatedly been ignored in history and there have been more then a few politicians in our history who tried to abolish it as well.
This is a topic that is incredibly sensitive and should be digested for a bit to really let these concepts sink in. But for many of us voting is and will be happening Tomorrow. It is easy to vote based on superficial reasons, but when you stop and think about how it can personally affect you, you may be surprised on your perspective possibly changing.
Take time this week to really think about how politics and religion/spirituality has affected you and how it could change in the future.

music Moves Me
Most of us, spiritual or not, enjoy listening to music. Music pulls a variety of emotions from us depending on the style. From soothing relaxing energies to getting hyped up and pumped. Each person reacts differently to different styles.
For me, I may get pumped by pop-rock/rock fast paced music and am relaxed listening to dark moody alternative music. Whereas someone else may get pumped listening to techno and relax to classical. Same things apply to negative reactions to music. I generally can't listen to traditional country music because it agitates my ears. Where as for some listening to rap or rock does the same.
Music is great motivator and inspiration. As I stated about being pumped listening to some music, it can have the affect of getting one up and going as well. This is why people listen to music while cleaning, exercising, and even doing something in the arts like writing. I can't write without listening to music.
It also inspires me by what is sung, the tone of the music, and the energy it exudes. For example, I may be writing a really tense argument in my novel so I will probably choose to listen to something subtly aggressive and rock to get that energy in my veins and onto the paper.
When it comes to spirituality, many think you have to listen to specifically spiritual music to get a spiritual affect. This is incorrect. I personally don't like spiritually based music and it is distracting if I use it during spiritual times I need music. I tend to use traditional Asian music and singing or very avaunt-guard alternative music when I am practicing my spirituality. Others definitely find music that is meant to be spiritual, their bag to do with what they will.
Every one's tastes are different and everyone uses music in different ways in their life. Some may have it as a background noise to their life where others have it as a major part to theirs.
Your task this week is to take a half hour of time to yourself and listen to different styles of music. Determine what emotions or energies they pulls from you and see how that can correspond into activities for the rest of the week. You may be surprised on how much it can affect your activity level, moods, and productivity!
Note: This week, my motivating music is the artist Banks: album The alter.
My relaxing music choice is by Jose Gonzalez: album In our Nature.
And my spiritual music is by Fever Ray: album Fever Ray.

Protect Yourself by Protecting Others
Ever have a time in your life where you feel you are the protector of those around you? I am not talking about if you have a child or a younger sibling. By nature, most feel the need to protect their kin and those younger, or those who are fragile like grandparents. But when it comes to friends, peers, parents that are not elderly, coworkers, associates, when does that protector feeling ebb?
For me, when I was young, I felt often times that I did not have a protector outside my home. My parents and even my sister (though we have a strained relationship), would always be there to stand up for me but when say, I went to school, those protections disappear and I was left to fend for myself. For years, I spent much of my childhood through my young adult life being a door mat. I generally did not stand up for others because I was either too busy trying to protect myself by being invisible and what not, or I had an ill state of mind that if I wasn't being protected why should I protect others. It was very rare and in extreme cases that I got out of my box to protect others. Generally when physical violence was going or did occur did I step in. That was always what crossed the line for me.
As a grown woman with a child of my own and a family, I have grown much stronger and also in time, learned to stand up for myself. Somehow in that time I had learned to stand up for others I felt couldn't stand up for themselves. Or even if they could, I supported them actively so they knew they could fall back on me if need be.
I am not very much what people call a mother bear towards people I care about and for those who I feel can't do it for themselves. They have the right to experience what I wasn't able to when I grew up. Sometimes having that one person at your back can make a difference in one's self esteem and confidence.
Too many people today do what I saw and did when I was younger, and ignored those who need help and go along with their day. Hell, there have even been news stories where they had people pretending to be physically or sexually assaulted and majority of people would just walk away. It really is a sad state of affairs in our country.
So why am I rambling on about this and protecting others and yourself? This can or may not be a spiritual aspect of your life but can certainly pertain to it. We in the community discuss ways of protecting ourselves magically with crystals, wards, and energy workings but when it comes down to the mundane area, that conversation tends to fall short. I am certainly a person who pushes for mudane resolutions first and then fall back on magic, but do what you have to do. Again, it also seems it is self preservation rather then protecting others that are the focus.
So, I lay a task out for you this week people who read this. Make it a point to get outside your spiritual and individualized box and stand up for a stranger or someone you have not stood up for before that you know needs it. You may feel the person you know you may have issues with but put that aside if you feel they are being done wrong. You would be surprised at how good it feels to put yourself out there and how something as simple as that can change a relationship dynamic as well.

Gifting or Buying Your First Deck
This is a debate for tarot readers that when someone wants to start using tarot that they should be gifted their first. Like it is a tradition. However, many see no problem in purchasing their first deck. The following is my experiences and the pros and cons of doing either.
I purchased my own because I had no one in my life that would have gifted me one. I bought a deck I thought I would enjoy learning it from. The Egyptian Tarot, that was actually kind of complicated with little complex imagery to learn intuitive reading easily, which I now know I am an intuitive reader. I bought it and played for it for a while then years went by where I didn't touch it. I then saw a tarot review of the Steampunk Tarot and purchased that based off my attraction to the imagery. It was the perfect starter deck for me. I was able to learn how to use it on my own terms and it really helped expand my understanding of intuitive readings.
I had no clue there was a tradition of gifting for your first deck by the way.
Buying your own deck...
Pros:
You can purchase what YOU are attracted to
You can feel the energies from the deck prior to purchasing it.
It can be special to buy your first as well.
Cons:
You miss out on the tradition associated with starting your tarot experience.
You, like myself, find a deck you are initially attracted to but find out you don't resonate with it in action.
Being gifted your first deck...
Pros:
You are honoring the tradition.
Getting gifts are awesome!
The person gifting it to you clearly wants to support your new adventure in the divination realm and is hoping their purchase or their own used deck has some power that can be transferred to one receiving.
Cons:
You may get a deck you don't resonate with or like at all.
The giver may have expectations they put on you for the deck like how to use it because they used it in that way, when you do not resonate with it or want to constraints.
You may feel guilty if they purchased a super expensive deck, that you are taking a clearly loved deck from theirs, or receiving an unfinished deck because unknowingly there are cards missing.
There are more pros and cons to both but those are the main ones that come to mind. My final opinion is it depends on what you are wanting. Do you want tradition over individual experience? Or do you want to make sure a deck resonates with you rather then a grateful but unwanted deck?
Ask these questions to yourself if you are beginning your journey or thinking of gifting a deck to someone.

Making Your Own Year and a Day?
I have been juggling with myself on wanting to do something such as a year and a day, but so many are based on specific religions such as Wicca. Though I am aware of witch specific year and a days that are less popular, that some have followed, I am coming to the conclusion I will have to create my own to satisfy all of my spiritual needs.
What am I doing to prepare in making one? Well first, I am looking at the books that though aren't witch specific, are related to my craft such as the Wicca based ones to get an idea of how the general year and a day is set up and some topics that may be of interest to me to expand on in my own year an a day.
Second, I am taking notes on the areas I have little to no knowledge on but want to expand on in my spiritual path. For example, I am into astrology but I really have little to only the basic info on it and want to learn more.
Thirdly, my plan on scheduling topics will be either a certain area will be covered during a full week in different ways or depending on the topic like astrology which is huge, do a whole month dedicated to it. I don't want to rush through topics just to get through it, but I want to really learn about them. For example, using astrology again, one week would be dedicated to sun signs, another week would be on houses, and so on.
Fourthly, I would also set up tests quizzes at the end of the "circuit" of topics to make sure I am retaining the information. I feel just reading over and not really practicing what you have learned generally goes the way of when we did homework in school. Into the mental garbage.
I am not rushing to create this and research is a big part on creating this but I want to make sure I am covering all the areas I want to and thoroughly. When the year and a day is done, I want to make sure i have had significant growth but also not use this time as like an elective class in high school where I just exist during it, I want to enjoy and grow from it.
Have you ever done a year and a day? Would you create your own? Thoughts on my idea?

Final Thoughts on Self Love September and Plans on future
It was an enjoyable and thought provoking September. I had not participated in this until this year and I thank Kelly Ann for getting this program going a few years ago and continuously running it since! ♥
My thoughts on my progress during this past month are mixed. Nothing I have shared is anything that is a surprise to me and nothing I wasn't self aware of already. I think my overall struggle with the whole process is finding how to push past the borders I have hit with the self growth in self love. DO I love myself? Not really.
Do I self care? Pretty well on the basic level and mostly out of self preservation. Do I think I am strong? I am only starting to see that I have grown in this area and accepting that I have achieved things by persevering through them. Do I put how I feel about myself on other peoples thoughts on me? Definitely. I do care significantly on what and how people think of me and that is something i really need to work on still. Though I have gotten better over time. I know my faults intimately. Do I generally know my strengths, not so much. I need to learn to be more emotionally antonymous. Independent.
Overall though, this past month did give me some useful insight and really narrowed down what I need to do on working on myself.
Plans from here on out with the blog? Well, I do plan on at least blogging once a week. Maybe more. It may be trivial, or how I am feeling that day, or plans for my channel which is where I put most of my energy. I do plan to keep this active.
Thank you for everyone who has kept up on my progress this past month and have been supportive. ☺

Self Love September: Day 16 - Creative Process
Kelly on soundcloud discussed freeing the creative process.
I am a creative person. I know this. I do talk myself out of it. I love writing that is my biggest expression next to attire, make up, hair, and body mods. Not having to do with my actual body. I love creating things in any form but I always talk myself down from doing it or make excuses why I can't.
I write, a lot. I have been writing a book for 3-4 years now and it is not finished though I have 75k words done and really I could easily finish it in a month but I am just tapped out. I did for a time find writing other stuff helped with my expression such as short stories and poems. I always feel so much better after. I find when I am depressed though it is extremely difficult to get the energy up and going with it.
I am also a singer and dancer and those are things I love doing but dancing is something I rarely do because of physical issues nor do I have the space to freestyle alone. Singing though, I do and I do it loud. I always feel better after doing it. Music is MY bag baby :) .
This I know is something that if I can push past, I would be a much happier person. This is a short blog but I basically just wanted to touch on my enjoyment of being creative and letting go and just doing it rather then setting some goals other then just starting it, I would be much happier.

Self Love September: Day 15 - My mindsets
Another soundcloud topic is Kelly discussing self love mindsets.
So I interpreted this as calling yourself on bs mindsets when you get into a place of well, bs.
For me I do tend to try to have positive and healthy mindsets but that is almost never possible. I tend to get wrapped up in drama of others, too overthinking things where there is no need to, reading into stuff that isn't there, and having a hard time with identifying my own self worth, strength, and esteem.
The frustrating part of this for me is the fact I know I am doing it when I am doing it generally but I can't seem to stop myself. Especially the overthinking of things. It is like a tornado and it just gets more intense he more I try to escape it. The mindset of a mind that doesn't shut down. It is extremely frustrating.
Writing lists to slow the mind down does help but not always because there are things you just can't make lists about. Setting goals or schedules help to. Structure in general in most things help to keep me focused and process those thoughts.
I have gone as far as to medicate myself to make my mind shut down or organize itself. I take heavy narcotics for my back issue when it flares up but there have been a handful of times I have used it, though my back hurt I could have been mildly okay without it, because it does tend to organize my head. I am not sure why but it focuses me kind of like how ADHD medication does.
This is another area I struggle strongly with because a healthy mindset is something I was not "born" having as far back as I can remember. I am not saying it isn't possible to get out of these mindsets, like being a victim for a long time I no longer generally think that way or when I do I can redirect my thoughts. But it is frustrating for sure in dealing with trying to get into a better place mentally.
